On the first Sunday of each month, food is collected for the Purple Bag Ministry, a food drive benefiting the Noel Neighborhood Ministries Food Pantry. The donated food enables the food pantry to provide a greater variety of nutritional items for clients. The Purple Bag Ministry’s collection date for April is Sunday, Apr. 5, but donations are always welcome.
Purple bags (or any bag) can be brought to the Food Pantry at 520 Herndon St. during regular hours, or to Noel UMC worship services or to the church mission boxes during normal business hours. Please drop-off items at the church office, Monday through Thursday, 8:30am-12pm or 1-5pm, and Friday 8:30am-12pm.
April’s list of needed grocery items includes: bottled water (16 oz. size), Saltine Crackers, Jiffy Cornbread mix, cake mix, and cake icing. Pick up a “purple bag” to fill in Noel’s Church Office or worship spaces; instructions are included in the bag. Grocery items for the food pantry may also be purchased online via Amazon—click here to shop the Food Pantry’s Amazon wishlist.
Thank you for supporting the Noel Neighborhood Ministries Food Pantry.
