ABOUT US
NCAP is an outreach ministry of the Noel Memorial United Methodist Church. It began in July 2009 under the director of Missions & Outreach, Rachel Scott. The goal of the community arts program is to exemplify God's love by helping persons in our community discover and develop their God-given talents and gifts through the transforming power of the Arts.
We are located in the Highland area of Shreveport, Louisiana. Over the past year, July '09-June'10, we've served about150 people of all ages. We've offered everything from Art & Music classes to Summer Camps! We've been blessed with the ability to give out about 29 scholarships full and partial thanks to a grant from the Grayson Foundation.

Got a door that sticks? A light switch that doesn't work? A hole in the wall? This class will explore common problems that homeowners encounter and their solutions. Often a certified technician has to be called and you should do so. However, there are dozens of things that anyone can do with a little forethought, some general instruction and a willingness to try! We will work with basic hand tools and power tools. This class is not for children but older youth are certainly welcome. You do not need to be a particularly "handy" person to take the class but you do need to have a willingness to learn. We will have some fun, learn some handy tricks and hopefully save you some heartache and money when your house needs a little TLC.
