WORSHIP                                                                             $368,531                             23%

Worship is the heartbeat of Noel Church.  It is the one time each week when the entire church gathers together in the Sanctuary, the Fellowship Hall, and monthly in Lane Chapel, to sing the songs of faith, to hear the Word of God proclaimed, and to go forth into the world to share the good news of Jesus Christ.  Expenses for this      ministry area include our music ministry – the many choirs for children, youth, and adults; the band which plays in our contemporary service; handbells, guest musicians, and special services throughout the year; music supplies and maintenance of robes, pianos, organs, and all instruments in the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and Chapel.  Also included in this ministry area are expenses related to Christmas and Easter, church bulletins, sanctuary supplies and materials, altar paraments and sanctuary decorations, our acolyte program, and the clergy and staff working directly within these programs.

YOUNG FAMILIES & ADULT MINISTRIES                            $414,005                             26%

What a wonderful blessing it is to have so many young families participating in the life of Noel Church!  Each week we see more and more young children, youth, and adults coming to Noel.  Through the ministries provided to children, youth, and adults, our hope is that every person is led into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Expenses for the ministry to young families include Sunday School for all ages, Vacation Bible School, Mission Possible Kids, summer and year-round programs, nursery, Youth Nights, Confirmation Class, Mission Trips for all ages, retreats, Men’s Ministries, Women’s Ministries, small groups and Bible studies, book studies, and more, as well as the expenses for staff directly involved in these ministries.

MISSIONS & OUTREACH                                                       $218,732                            14%

It would be difficult to find another church that does more outreach for its neighborhood and community than Noel.  Through the missional outreach of the church, the hungry are fed, the naked are clothed, the thirsty find living water, and the poor have good news preached to them.  With the funds for these ministries, our church reaches out across the street and across the world.  Persons in need are ministered to through our  Neighborhood Ministries Food Pantry, Adult Learning Center, Souper Saturday program, the Thanksgiving Dinner for Friendship Houses, the Easter Meal, The Giving Factory, and the staff directly involved in these programs.  Mission trips allow adults and youth to extend our ministry to regional and global areas including Mexico, New Orleans, Houston and other places of need.  Noel Church also joins hands with others to provide for ministries beyond our walls with  local groups such as Community Renewal, Volunteers of America, HOPE for the Homeless, and the City of   Shreveport.  Our connectional ministries include the Methodist Children’s Homes, Centenary College and Dillard University, UMCOR Disaster Relief Ministries, Methodist Hospitals, and so many other United Methodist Ministries reaching throughout the state, the nation, and the world.

COMMUNICATIONS                                                                 $177,744                          11%

"How will they know?"  There is so much that happens at Noel.  But how will others know about it?  First and foremost, through word of mouth - personal invitations and seizing the opportunity to tell others.  Getting the Word Out also happens through intentional and strategic communication internally and externally.  Internally to our membership with our newsletter, the "Noel Now", and externally to the larger community through our print and television advertising and our website.  The ministry of communications also includes expenses for copy machines and postage, supplies and materials, and office staff who serve in thse areas.

BUILDING & GROUNDS                                                             $410,452                        26%

At the corner of Highland and Herndon stands the historic and strikingly beautiful Noel Memorial United Methodist Church – all 92,000 square feet of it!  From the Sunday School classrooms in the basement to the Children’s Center and Gymnasium to the Fellowship Hall to the Lane Chapel to the stained glass windows on the west wall, Noel Church is not only a gathering place for us, but also the dwelling place of God.  It has kept its doors open for the generations before us, and will for generations to come.  It has been cared for by the generous contributions of all the people of Noel since the cornerstone was laid.  And together, we will continue to care for this sacred place by providing the funds for upkeep, repairs, renovations, and the staff who so faithfully and lovingly serve as stewards of this great gift.
